Yogurt is one of my favourite foods and so versatile. It’s creamy, delicious, healthy and comes in all sorts of flavours you can blend into a variety of snacks. It makes a healthy, filling snack any time of day. Greek yogurt has a thicker texture and more probiotics.
Yogurt is loaded with essential nutrients like vitamin B-2, calcium, magnesium potassium and majorly vitamin D and protein. Despite being a dairy product, it is light on the stomach and easier to digest than milk. Plus, it is an affordable, nutrient-rich snack that continues to support their growing muscles and bones.

1. Yogurt Tzatziki dip
Mix 2 cups plain Greek yogurt with 1 grated cucumber, 1 grated garlic clove, 3 tablespoons each chopped dill and mint and 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar; season with salt and pepper.Serve dip with pita bread or crunchy veggie sticks.
2. Curd Rice
One of the simplest and easiest dishes to prepare, curd rice can be prepared at home as a whole meal in itself. It is light on the stomach yet filling enough for a meal. Just a few ingredients and goodness of milk, carrots, urad and chana dal with a spicy tadka makes for this delicious yogurt recipe.
3. Yogurt Amaranth Parfait
Combine yoghurt and honey, stirring well. Spoon 1/4 cup yoghurt mixture in bottom of jar or glass; top each serving with 1/4 cup Popped Amaranth and one-fourth of fruit mixture. Repeat layers with yoghurt mixture, Popped Amaranth, and fruit mixture. Garnish with chopped nuts .
4. Yogurt Nut Butter dip
This healthy peanut butter dip is just 4 ingredients and tastes like frosting! Mix the yogurt, natural nut butter (almond butter, peanut butter or cashew butter ) maple syrup, and vanilla extract together in a bowl until smooth. Serve with sliced apple, Pineapple, Strawberries, Kiwi or crackers.
5. Tangy Guacamole
Tex-Mex lovers swear by this dip for creamy, tangy guacamole. Just Mash 2 ripe avocados with 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt. 6. Yogurt Chocolate Pudding
Need a chocolate fix? This chocolate snack tastes rich and chocolaty. Mix everything together in a bowl. Plain yogurt, dark cocoa powder, and maple syrup. It will be very thick at first, but it will smooth out once the cocoa powder incorporates. So, you get the protein and probiotics of yogurt while getting your chocolate fix.
7. Overnight Oats
Oats are usually eaten for breakfast, but they’re a great snack anytime you need a protein boost. In a bowl, mix rolled oats, and yoghurt. In a blender, add 1 cup chopped fruits ( like strawberries, mango, blueberries, raspberries), 1 cup plain yogurt and honey (as per taste). Blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into the popsicle molds. Add popsicle sticks. Freeze overnight until frozen.
9. Spinach-Power Smoothie
Refuel your tiring evening with this smoothie full of calcium, iron-rich spinach and flaxseed (for a healthy dose of that Omega-3s).
